ECO MAGIC THINNER

Malaysia is one of the developing country. Malaysia produces a lot of materials in marketing. Besides, there are got several chemical product. It will harm the human’s health and the environment. Among that thinner is one of the chemical product that contain chemical components that will affect humans health. A thinner is a volatile solvent that used to dilute or extend oil-based paints or cleanup after use. Common solvents used as paint thinner chemicals include mineral spirits, mineral and true turpentine, acetone, naptha, toluene, ketone and others. Therefore, in our research, we chose papaya leaves, banana peels and pineapple waste such as peels, stem and leaves to produce eco magic thinner. Objectives of this project are to the effectiveness of using papaya leaves, banana peels and pineapple waste ( stem, leaves and peels) to produce eco magic thinner and to investigate the comparism between eco magic thinner and chemical thinner.The ingredients contained in Eco magic thinner product include pineapple stem, pineapple leaves, pineapple peels, papaya leaves, banana peels, vinegar and brown sugar. Data collected by use qualitative method with took pictures of before and after the spray with eco magic thinner in removing paint in different types of things. Based on observation and data results, Eco magic thinner is effective in cleaning the paint stains. Apart from this, the product is organic and it is not harmful for human being. Furthermore, pineapple waste contains a huge amount of enzyme that called Bromelain. Bromelain is a protease enzyme which enables breakdown of macromoleculs into smaller part which lead to cleaning effects. Papain enzymes found in papaya leaves have high activity in the breakdown of proteins into peptides and amino acids. The eco magic thinner effectively remove paint stain. This eco magic thinner is renewable, organic, safe to use, biodegradable, sustainable, cheap and environmentally friendly compared to chemical thinner.
